Platon Ivantsov, in collaboration with Krylia FMCG Branding, drew inspiration from the symbol of 2013, the black snake, to create the AleXX Black Snake packaging. The design features a snakeskin pattern applied using a complex method of printing on foil-stamped high-quality plastic. The contrast between the cold foil and the flame-gold color of the brandy is showcased through the transparent packaging, adding to the design's appeal.
AleXX Black Snake is more than just a visually striking design; it represents a new, modern lifestyle that is bright, dynamic, and unpredictable. This innovative brand in Fusion style was created to change all pre-existing stereotypes in the perception of brandy, its representation, and consumption. The design's unique properties lie in its ability to combine elegance and temperament, solidity and the frenetic pace of life, rigor, and sexuality.
The realization of this design involved hot foil on the plastic tube and printing on the foil. The packaging, a plastic tube for an elegant 0.5L bottle, features a metallized top and bottom with a relief image of the brand logo 'XX'. The dimensions of the packaging are 73 mm x 73 mm x 370 mm.
The design was brought to life by Platon Ivantsov, with Oleksii Simanovych serving as the Art Director. The project started in September 2012 in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, and was introduced to the market in December 2012. The design was positively received, with the product completely selling out in 4 weeks (20,000 items).
Despite the challenges of printing on the foil applied to the plastic tube, the design team successfully created a bitmap stretching from black to transparent, perfectly hitting the foil stamping the image of snake scales. The result is a design that not only breaks the regulations and outdated traditions of brandy consumption but also creates new ones. The AleXX Black Snake design was awarded the Golden A' Packaging Design Award in 2016, a testament to its innovative and trendsetting nature.
